Helping New Hampshire municipalities access grant funding to implement successful community and economic development projects.

Overview

The NH Municipal Association is partnering with ADG to pilot providing NH municipalities with technical assistance to attain funding for local projects. During this pilot, technical assistance will be provided to 10 municipalities, all with populations under 10,000. Assistance will be provided to:

  • 2 municipalities with a population under 2,500.
  • 2 municipalities with a population between 2,500 and 5,000.
  • 2 municipalities with a population between 5,001 and 7,500.
  • 2 municipalities with a population between 7,501 and 10,000.

Municipalities located in census tracts identified as underserved and low income will be prioritized for technical assistance.

Technical Assistance

The goal of this pilot project is to help small NH municipalities successfully access federal, state, and other funding in order to implement impactful projects in their communities. Technical assistance may include:

  • General coaching to talk through and prioritize community projects. 
  • Identify the full range of funding opportunities that may be available for your projects.
  • Developing a compelling story for your project that will be attractive to funders.
  • Technical assistance on specific grant applications, including developing narratives, project budgets, metrics and evaluation, and meeting the requirements to successfully submit your grant application.

Process

  • Watch the NHMA TA kickoff webinar to get background on the program and process.
  • Fill out the below application questionnaire to provide basic information on your project and the technical assistance you are seeking by July 5th.
  • All applications for technical assistance will be reviewed in early July. Those selected will be paired with a coach that will provide individualized technical assistance to help your municipality attain project funding and implement impactful community projects.
